The predecessor of today’s GrillSymbol was blacksmith Johannes Moisar, who opened a blacksmith shop in Tallinn, on Paldiski Highway, in 1925. The blacksmith shop produced, among other things, small iron pans, enamel pots and various details for fireplaces.

With the arrival of Soviet power in 1940, the company was nationalized, and during various merger processes, both the products and the experiences disappeared from the public.

57 years have passed. After the collapse of the criminal regime in 1991, brothers Ivar and Laur Suurväli revived old family traditions. A life’s work that our great-grandfather left unfinished.

We started with four products, and today we have over a hundred products in our assortment.

We all know that handmade items are a luxury today. This is important to us and we proudly carry on this tradition. We simply love craftsmanship as a process and we like to use long-lasting materials. We take the wear of steel as a raw material very seriously and based on this, we design and engineer our products to last for decades.

Each of our products has its own story of creation when they are handmade – if only they could talk!

We rarely rest and are constantly innovating – although GrillSymbol fire pits and BBQ smokers are conquering Europe, we are always looking for ways to make them even better. Our gas-burning PRO series paella and wok pans have been highly regarded by many top chefs and home users for years – thanks to our customers’ feedback, we have created a product line that works perfectly.

GrillSymbol is still a family business. The fifth generation is growing with new and fresh ideas and production is still being made in the Tallinn factory. In 2025, GrillSymbol will celebrate the anniversary of 100 years of experience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”8253″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”7788″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
