Realizzato in acciaio Cor-Ten, che è un acciaio al carbonio quasi puro ma lavorato in modo da avere uno strato protettivo sulla superficie per renderlo resistente alle intemperie. La superficie è originariamente grigiastra, ma a causa delle condizioni atmosferiche diventa bruno-rossastra (simile al colore della ruggine) e si scurisce col tempo.
Se usato correttamente, l’acciaio Cor-Ten è espressivo, durevole e non richiede manutenzione e può resistere alla prova del tempo in un modo tutto suo.
