Made from Cor-Ten steel which is almost pure carbon steel but processed in order to have a protective layer on the surface to make it weather-proof. The surface is originally greyish, due the weather conditions it turns reddish-brown (resembles the colour of rusting), which becomes darker within time.

If used properly, Cor-Ten steel is expressive, durable and maintenance-free and can stand the test of time in its own peculiar way.

NB! The flower pot is made by hand, so slight unevenness may occur at the welding points of the product without a layer of rust. However, as the Cor-Ten rust layer forms, the unevenness dissipates.

 

NB! Cor-Ten steel products are delivered untreated. When brand new, Cor-Ten steel is gray in color like usual hot-rolled steel. You can find seasoning instructions on our website or you can scan directly from the product. Cor-Ten steel products can be stored outdoors all year round. Does not require storage.

    Le foyer est en acier Cor-Ten qui est un acier au carbone presque pur mais traité de manière à avoir une couche protectrice sur la surface pour la rendre résistante aux intempéries. La surface est à l’origine grisâtre, puis elle devient brun rougeâtre (ressemble à la couleur de la rouille), qui devient plus foncée avec le temps. S’il est utilisé correctement, l’acier Cor-Ten est expressif, durable et sans entretien et peut tenir le temps à sa manière unique.

    Les pierres entre les deux parois métalliques sont avant tout décoratives, mais transmettent également la chaleur.
