Made of Cor-Ten steel which is almost pure carbon steel but processed in order to have a protective layer on the surface to make it weather-proof. The surface is originally greyish, due the weather conditions it turns reddish-brown (resembles the colour of rusting), which becomes darker within time. If used properly, Cor-Ten steel is expressive, durable and maintenance-free and can stand time in its own peculiar way.

In 2024, we have launched a new model that is more functional than its predecessor: the grill has better air exchange, larger charcoal trays, a large stainless steel shelf and holes for fixing skewers. Thanks to its large grilling area, two grill grates can be used on the grill at the same time. Or one grate with other accessories.
The materials have been used as they would have been back in the good old days and no expense has been spared! The casing of the grill has been made from 3 mm stainless steel that maintains a stable temperature throughout grilling. What is more awesome, however, is the 5 mm steel grill grate – all for the purpose of a perfect barbecuing experience.

Additionally, you have the possibility of using the smoker as a charcoal grill. If the heat comes from the fireplace for BBQ smoking or baking, then for grilling, you will have a special charcoal tub that is installed under the grates.
The Smoky Beast XL model offers have a capacity that is multiple times larger than that of the biggest Kamado Ceramic Grills (designated as 2XL, Pro Joe). The total area of the two grates in this model is 12 900 cm2 (1.29 m2). The smoker can hold ca 70 kg of meat at a time.
