Corten steel is almost pure carbon steel but machined to provide a weatherproof coating on its surface. The surface is originally greyish, due the weather conditions it turns reddish-brown (resembles the colour of rusting), which becomes darker within time.

Upon proper use, the Corten steel is vivid, long-lasting and maintenance-free, withstanding time in a unique manner. COR-TEN® products can be stored outdoors all year round. Does not require storage.

NB! For safety reasons, the firewood rack should be attached to the ground. Suitable fasteners: M8 concrete anchors (for concrete) or larger screws for wooden surfaces.

 

NB! Cor-Ten steel products are delivered untreated. When brand new, COR-TEN® steel is gray in color like usual hot-rolled steel. You can find seasoning instructions on our website or you can scan directly from the product. Cor-Ten steel products can be stored outdoors all year round. Does not require storage.
