The product must not be installed on a wooden surface as the fire pit will become hot from the bottom during the fire. There are holes in the bottom of the fire pit from which small pieces of coal can fall out. The holes in the bottom act as drainage holes to prevent standing water from accumulating inside the fire pit.
COR-TEN® products can be stored outdoors all year round. Does not require storage.

Bought it and now take it with me to the summerhouse when we visit it. Replaced bolts with stainless steel ones and nuts with butterflies, so easy to dismount legs and put it in a car. I kept the package and covered it with plastic tape, so it is quite durable and corten does not stain the car when packed properly
